In connection with the construction of Mediaspace, The City of Aarhus conducts trials of the coming piling work at Aarhus Harbour. The trials are carried out in order to be able to choose the best piling method. One criterion is to limit inconveniences in relation to noise and vibrations.

The trials take place between week 23 and 33 and include pile driving of reinforced concrete piles, sheet piling, and drilling down of earth anchors. The part of the work which can cause noise and vibrations will be carried out during the day on weekdays.

The City of Aarhus has named the company, which has won the competition on construction and completion of the shell worth just under 400 million Danish kroner in the construction project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus.

The contracting company NCC Construction Denmark A/S will enter into the partner cooperation on construction of the new Mediaspace.

The City of Aarhus will hold a public meeting in connection with the public hearing of the district plan for the area, where Mediaspace will be built. The meeting takes place in the hall of the Town Hall on 11 May at 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

The City of Aarhus breaks new ground when tasks worth 400 million Danish kroner are put out to tender in connection with the project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus. “Partnering” as form of tender will ensure that the budget is kept.

Today, the municipal corporation of Aarhus approved a city council recommendation, which states that Mediaspace, part of the project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus, is to have the largest solar cell facility in Northern Europe. The structure will thus live up to the requirements in low-energy class 1.
