Parking in the construction period

The Municipality has examined the need for parking spaces in the harbour area. We counted 450 parked cars on the harbour in peak periods.

In order to accommodate this need, we will maintain 500 parking spaces in the area throughout the construction period.

Some of the existing parking spaces will, however, be abolished and moved to another part of the harbour since we need the area for the construction site.

Parking in the future

When the automatic car park beneath Mediaspace is finished in 2014, approximately 1000 new parking spaces will emerge close to the city centre.
