As part of the project Urban Mediaspace Aarhus, the City of Aarhus will construct new large waterfront spaces.

The quayside will be reconstructed to create a larger basin and the distance between city centre and waterfront will be shortened.

The spaces will stretch from Nørreport to the mouth of the river. The total area will be approximately 23,000, which equals about four football fields.

Lively Waterfront Spaces

The fact that the waterfront spaces face east ensures views, sky, sun and horizon.

The waterfront spaces will be formed with a view to activities to ensure they become buzzing areas which invite seasonal activities such as concerts, flea markets and beach volley.
